Elton Manufacturing was founded in Milton, Ontario, Canada in 1981, initially operating as Ontario Door Sales Ltd. Tom Boer, Elton’s president and founder, has grown the company to become a worldwide supplier of premium quality windows and weatherstripping within the garage door industry.
We are committed to designing, developing and delivering the best window and weatherstripping products and accessories through innovation, quality and service,” he says.
As a result of ongoing innovation, a number of patents have been awarded to Elton. Our company’s distinctive modular system and in-house injection-molding capabilities allow us to manufacture to unique specifications. Frames are injection-molded using pre-colored polypropylene or paintable polystyrene and have a unique woodgrain texture. Our in-house tooling capability permits us to design to customers’ unique specifications.
Our extensive selection of traditional and contemporary residential window designs, including aluminum bar, pencil bar and printed ink designs, are the perfect accessory to complete any door assembly.
A recent addition to Elton’s product offering is the company’s Door Lite Frame Program. These products address the needs of an extensive niche market worldwide. With all production done within Elton’s own facilities, quality control is maintained and customer service maximized.
In 2001, Elton outgrew its 20,000 square foot manufacturing facility and opened a larger (35,000 square foot) manufacturing plant in Milton. Since then, Elton has grown to over 50 employees and another expansion to a second operating facility has increased their manufacturing and distribution facilities to 100,000 square feet.
In 2005, Elton purchased a Tool & Die company in Waterloo. This was a strategic move for the company, enabling it to control its design and production processes, fueling a continued growth of 50% in worldwide export markets. Thanks to a strong production and customer service team, the company is successfully extending its reach in new markets overseas.
Celebrating over 25 years in the industry and determined to continue a legacy of innovation, Elton Manufacturing is poised for continued growth well into the 21st century.
